Another matrix version of GeForce is ASUS

ASUS also made a matrix version of the GTX 285.

The ASUS MATRIX GTX285 / HTDI / 1GD3 differs from the reference models in several respects:

  • it is based on a self-designed printed circuit board
  • received Fujitsu multilayer polymer capacitors
  • its only power connector is 8-pin, while the reference models have two 6-pin
  • the heat dissipation performance of the Extreme Cooloer is 12% better
  • the so-called Super Hybrid Engine activates the fan as a function of the load and also controls the operating frequency and voltage values
  • provides a five-level LED on the graphics card with information about the load the GPU is currently subjecting to (extreme loading, heavy loading, average loading, light loading or safe mode)
  • the timing of the memory tiles can also be adjusted using the iTracker2 tuning program
  • if a faulty or incorrect BIOS is used, the pre-upgrade state can be restored without external intervention
  • Although the video card has clock signals in accordance with the NVIDIA recommendation, the 648 MHz core, 1476 MHz shading and 2484 MHz memory clock signals can be exercised with confidence thanks to the changes.
