The Xbox 360 could be profitable next year

Again, encouraging news for Microsoft in the fight against SONY.

Currently, the Xbox 360 leads the sales list of HD consoles, and this leading position has not become precarious with the advent of the Playstation 3. However, this involves casualties - as with the counterpart - as almost every console produces a loss to its manufacturer in a given amount of time. It’s no different (even now) with the Xbox 360, as it only brought Microsoft $ 315 million minus to the kitchen in the third fiscal quarter of last year.

However, the good news for the Redmond giant is that according to current forecasts, they could even make a profit for every copy sold next year - and that’s not just true of the recently released Elite version. If this really happens and the PS3 is unable to follow this trend in the short term, SONY could get into even more trouble in the console market.
