For example, Norton Internet Security can be installed in less than a minute and takes up only 7 MB of memory. Additional features of Norton security software:

• Silent mode automatically pauses alerts and updates to avoid interrupting or slowing down games, watching movies, or presentations.
• The smart scheduler performs scans, updates, and other activities when your PC is idle. It puts processes in the background in milliseconds when the user starts using the machine.
