New power supply series from Corsair
The members are quite impressive in several ways.
Corsair is launching a brand new power supply series marked “AX”. One of the special features of the product family is that each member 80 Plus Gold they are rated, i.e. they have excellent efficiency, which is above 50% at 90% load. For the time being, three members will compete in the series, a 750 (AX750), an 850 (AX850) and a 1200 (AX1200) watt model. The latter will be the flagship capable of generating no less than 12 Amperes on a single 100-volt branch. The 850-watt member can only squeeze out 70 Amps here, while the 750-watt 62 Amper can squeeze out of himself. The products all meet the ATX12V v2.31 and that EPS 2.92 standard. Cooling is provided by a 12 cm fan with automatic control. The time interval between the two failures was set by the manufacturer at 100.000 hours.
Corsair offers a very encouraging 7-year guarantee for novelties with modular cabling. The AX750for 145, the AX850for 165 and the AX1200The manufacturer asks for 250 euros.
