Chieftec has launched a new power supply family

Named Nitro, the series includes no less than ten feeds.

Of Chieftec’s latest models, four of the lower-powered, 350, 400, 450, and 500-watt PSUs are non-modular, while the remaining six, higher-powered 550, 650, 750, 850, 950, and 1200-watt PSUs are already modular. The Nitro innovations all comply with the ATX 2.3 standard, have two 12 V branches and are more than 85 percent efficient - the 1,2 kW unit is 80Plus Silver certified and all other 80Plus Bronze certified. Good and quiet cooling is provided by a 120mm fan in the smaller models and a 140mm fan in the six larger ones.

New power supplies can be purchased in approximately two weeks, the purchase price is not yet known.
