As we’ve already guessed from the title, a driver for newer notebooks will be discussed below.
Engineers at HLDS (Hitachi LG Data Storage) thought it was time to create something new in the laptop market as well. The result is a DVD burner called the GSA-4080M, which, in addition to 8x DVD +/- R burning, also has the following features: 2,4 × DVD + R DL-, 6 × DVD ± RW , 24 × / 10 × CD-R / RW and 5 × DVD-RAM roasting. As you can see in the picture, it is an ultra-thin (9,5 mm high) design equipped with a newly developed slot-in technology.
