NVIDIA would break into the living room again

NVIDIA has announced the so-called BFGD (Big Format Gaming Display) technology here. According to the ambitious expectations of the Greens, this will bring a new experience to the living room, with 4K resolution displays based on the standard offering an amazing 120 Hz image refresh. Drawing such an inhuman set of pixels at such a fast pace puts a clockwork load on the GPU, and G-Sync will come in handy when the image refresh rate fluctuates widely.

The maximum luminance of the panel is 1000 nit.

The knowledge of BFGD TV, born from the close collaboration between NVIDIA and AU Optronics, is clearly not limited to the former: GameStream and integrated Shield, i.e. streaming PC games and (among other things) direct access to Netflix, Amazon and YouTube content. For displays, reproduction of the DCI-P3 color space used in digital cinema projectors is also a requirement.

The first wave will feature the ASUS ROG SWIFT PG65 BFGD, the HP Omen X 65 BFGD and the Acer Predator BFGD - we think the diagonal size is 65 inches, or 165 cm. The products will be on the market later this year, we already know the expected price; insanely expensive!
