While it’s not as much volume as last year’s fiasco, it’s certain that none of the company’s reputation will benefit from another recall.
Toshiba replaces about 10 Sony notebook batteries for free: the December 2005 case Dynabook, Dynabook Satellite, Satellite and Tecra notebooks are affected, including models sold in Europe.
The recall was ordered by Toshiba after one Australian and two Japanese fires, but fortunately no personal injury occurred in either case.
