Intel: One million PCs sold daily

The Intel CEO said some data and future visions from the company.

Paul Otellini, CEO of Intel, said sales of personal computers and CPUs are sure to grow in the coming years. Currently, approximately one million PCs are sold worldwide, and that number could double by 2014. These figures provide excellent prospects for all other chip makers in addition to Intel. For the largest processor maker, it’s not just desktops and notebooks that are the source of revenue. According to the CEO, netbooks, tablet PCs and other products will also make a significant contribution to the company’s revenue and profit growth.
