This year, for the first time, a beauty pageant will be held as part of the WCG
In addition to the WCG 2007 qualifiers, the girls of the Hungarian cyber world will also compete with each other.
Within the framework of the World Cyber Games series of events held year after year, the main organizer of the event, IDG Hungary and Samsung, was created with a novelty this year. From June 18, the World Cyber Girls beauty contest will start, which anyone can apply for www.worldcybergirls.com website.
Any lady who is eighteen years of age can enter the competition and upload the photos she deems most beautiful to the site. Contestants who make it to the finals based on the votes cast online will be invited to the WCG Final on September 2 at the House of the Future. Here, based on the votes of the star jury invited to the finals, the winner of the competition will be announced, who will win the title of Miss World Cyber Girls.
The goal of World Cyber Girls 2007 is to find and present the most beautiful girls in the Hungarian cyber world with whom we can meet in cyberspace: in forums, chat rooms, but mostly in online games.
About this year's World Cyber Games
For the first time this year, by responding to players ’requests, participants will be able to test their skills not only online but also live during the qualifiers. The online tournaments will take place at hu.worldcybergames.com from the end of June, while the live qualifiers will take place at the T-Online Pro Gamers Cyber Café in Mammut, Budapest. Players can start in four qualifiers: Command & Conquer 3 (PC), WarCraft 3: The Frozen Throne (PC), FIFA07 (PC), Projet Gothem Racing 3 (X-Box 360).
The best teams that successfully competed in the qualifiers will be able to compete for the grand prize on September 2 at the House of the Future, and the domestic final winning teams will be in Seattle on October 4.
World Cyber Games, with the support of Samsung Electronics, has been providing gamers proficient in the world of multiplayer games since 2000 to compare their speed, strategy, and situational awareness.
Thanks to the annual World Cyber Games, the players get to know their homeland abroad, so Hungarian competitors can also gain recognition for Hungary, especially in the countries of the Far East. IDG Hungary and Samsung aim to create a community of multiplayer players within which a new, “healthier” cyber generation will be represented.
