Can the Samsung Galaxy S get Ice Cream Sandwich?

It is possible that the Galaxy S or Galaxy Tab 7.0 may also receive the latest Android. 

Last week, we also reported that Samsung announced which devices it plans to officially release the Ice Cream Sandwich update for. While many hoped the Galaxy S could get ICS as well, Samsung’s announcement poured clear water into the glass. Plenty of people have expressed their displeasure with the announcement and have even started collecting signatures, which have now been signed by thousands of owners. 

According to recent news, Samsung has changed its mind and promised to consider the matter and, if possible, release the update for Galaxy S and Tab 7.0 devices, respectively. Of course, this statement is by no means a sure promise, but it is certainly reassuring. And until the official update, curious owners can browse the cooked ICS ROMs to their liking.
