Hitchhiker 0.3 - hitchhiking on our PDA
The latest version 0.3 of Hitchhiker has been released.
Hitchhiker helps you to connect to nearby wireless (WiFi, WLAN) networks easily and simply. The main features of the new version:
- Support for WEP and WPA-PSK encryption
- WLAN power settings: turn the WLAN on and off automatically
- Launch Skype from the launcher
- Warning message for .NET Compact Framework (CF) 1.0 SP2 or less - SP3 is highly recommended!
- "Allowed networks" list
- Setting the IP address with IP Fastlane intelligent input
- Customizable sound effects
- "Automatically login to MSN Messenger" option
- Warning when connecting to a public network
- Lots of bug fixes
The program is perhaps one of the most useful for WiFi PDAs - along with WiFiFoFum - so it’s definitely worth downloading for those with such a handheld.
