Did ASRock and ASUS make a mistake?

Two newcomers, the Ryzen 5 2400GE and the Ryzen 3 2200GE, were unveiled prematurely.

Did ASRock and ASUS make a mistake?

Our more attentive readers must have noticed that these names had been seen several times before, but then the “E” sign was missing from the end of the sign. According to information leaked by ASRock, this refers to energy-efficient models in AMD's nomenclature, so newcomers who are expected to be released soon will be prominent in this area. Based on what has been seen, both Ryzen APUs have been given a 35-watt TDP rating, which has reduced their operating frequency by 300-400 MHz. Presumably, the pace of IGP is also falling somewhat, but no data were obtained on this. In addition to ASRock, new models have also appeared on the ASUS website, but there is some confusion here.

Will there be a demand for it?

It is doubtful because the consumption of the Ryzens released yesterday can be adjusted to 45 watts (the factory value is 65 watts), so it seems a little strange to throw two other processors into the deep water for another 10 watts. Of course, it is possible that there will be a way to reduce the TDP with these as well, but of course we cannot continue this indefinitely (with impunity), as we cannot expect more serious speeds with such low energy consumption.
