The Razer sound system has also arrived in Hungary

The manufacturer's three-channel sound set wants to rip off the competition with a special structure.

Makó onion? No, not really, just a little. Now let’s hit the middle of things without any guides! This is the Razer Mako 2.1 Advanced Desktop Audio, which according to the manufacturer cannot be called a sponge cake. First, let’s look at a picture of it, as the first impression is always important:

Its shape is unusual, although this should not come as a surprise to those who are used to "high-tech gadgets". However, the Mako's specialty is to be found deep inside. The speakers are not installed in the "boxes" in the usual way, thanks to their arrangement we can speak of an omnidirectional design (this is not at all unusual in the world of hi-fi). The point is that instead of the traditional, point-like sound transmission, the information is released here in a circular manner, i.e. (one could say) it doesn't matter which way we turn our sound generators. Omnidirectional sound boxes typically produce a completely different stage (sound space) compared to their traditional counterparts.

The second feature worth mentioning is the use of the ClassHD digital amplifier, which of course is also equipped with a DSP. The most important advantage of ClassHD is the better efficiency, which can be attributed to the variable power supply adapted to the specific needs (in the case of "smooth" amplifiers, the power supply takes constant values, however, both technologies have their own advantages and disadvantages).

Of course, we can't ignore THX plecsnit either, there are some who can have this crucial information when buying. This case concerns THX Ground Plane and THX Slot Speaker technologies. Obviously, a multimedia audio set designed primarily for a PC is placed on our desktop by default. However, here we have to take into account the reflections that negatively affect the quality (examining the frequency spectrum of the sound waves, this activity of our table is not linear at all; here we think mainly of the higher ranges). has a significant influence on sound reproduction. That’s why the tweeter was placed at the bottom of the box by the designers, face down, where the sound leaves through a narrow gap. This is how they try to forge the disadvantage of being close to the surface of the table. (Of course, this is strongly related to the omnidirectional nature of sound boxes.)
