Six monitors can be used for one ATI card

Last week, AMD unveiled Eyefinity technology.

Eyefinity can be owned by DirectX 11 video cards, allowing a video card to drive a total of six displays. 268 megapixels of theoretical resolution will be available through DisplayPort, which means that up to six 30-inch displays can be driven using the new technology.

According to the news, AMD demonstrated the operation of the technology on a World War II aircraft simulator. Four video cards worked in the demo machine, and they drove a total of 24 24-inch Dell LCDs. Samsung is said to be already working on displays and stands that help leverage AMD’s new technology. We don't know yet what the new technology will hurt us for, but AMD says it's an extremely affordable solution. Of course, this is just the side of the card, six special displays and the stand belonging to them will probably not cost one or two forints.
