Haswell-E with DDR4 support
Although the DDR3 era is still in full swing, Intel is already looking ahead. Fudzilla announced a few days ago that the memory controller for Haswell-E server processors has DDR4 support. The four-channel controller is capable of achieving significantly higher bandwidth than the current generation. Rumor has it that more than ten core instances are being made (12 or 16 cores), which could obviously seriously throw computing power.
Intel Haswell-E server processors are expected to be released next year.
