Three new AMD FX processors are coming
Even during the quarter, AMD will expand its product range with three FX processors. Four-, six- and eight-core processors are in the 95-watt power class.
The quad-core FX-4150 has a base clock of 3,9 GHz and 12 MB of cache (4 MB L2, 8 MB L3). The middle member of the series, the FX-6120 is already ticking 3,5 GHz and equipped with 14 MB of cache. The fastest of the three innovations will be the eight-core FX-8140 with an operating frequency of 3,2 GHz. The processor can manage 8 MB of second-level and the same number of third-level caches. Chips manufactured with 32nm technology have in common the AM3 + enclosure and the 4,1GHz Turbo Core clock.
