The ASUS Eee Pad Transformer will be available soon
The tablet is not special from the Tegra 2 chip or Android 3.0: it can even be used as a netbook.
The Eee Pad Transformer tablet measures 271 × 177 × 12,98 millimeters and weighs 680 grams. The device is powered by the already mentioned Tegra 2 SoC, as well as 802.11 b / g / n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, SD card slot and mini HDMI output. The features provided by Android 3.0 can be enjoyed on the 10,1-inch IPS capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 1280 × 800 pixels. There are two versions of it, the $ 16 with 399GB of storage and the $ 32 with the 499GB model. Distribution will begin as early as next week in the US and Canada.
Even though we would already be holding a fairly quality tablet, the name Transformer would leave question marks behind. ASUS has also built a docking station with a keyboard for its brand new machine. In addition to the QWERTY keyboard, we find Android function keys, two USB 2.0 ports, a 4-in-1 card reader and SRS Premium speakers. In addition, the dock includes a built-in battery that allows you to operate the device for up to 16 hours in total. For that, the manufacturer asks for $ 149, in exchange for a multifunctional netbook-tablet combo.
