Passively cool even the fastest video cards!

Arctic Cooling engineers have undertaken nothing less than to passively cool either a Radeon X1950 or GeForce 7950 series card.

Knowing the hunger of these cards, and especially their heat generation, we can easily state that if the Accelero S1 shown below can cope with them, a GeForce 8800 GTX should not be a problem for it either. The dimensions of the product, which uses four copper heat pipes, are clearly visible, the 32-dimensional lamella extends beyond the height of the card, so it is not designed for the smallest housings. Together with the small ribs associated with the memories and voltage regulators that come with the product, the Accelero S1 is officially able to cool the following cards completely passively:

  • Radeon X1950 series
  • Radeon X1900 series
  • Radeon X1800 series
  • GeForce 7950 series
  • GeForce 7900 series
  • GeForce 7800 series
  • GeForce 6800 series

The Accelero S1 will be available from the end of May, the recommended retail price is 24 euros net, which means that there is every chance for a gross price in Hungary below 10 thousand forints, which is definitely not bad, but let's judge if you have visited our test lab.

Owners of lower-performance cards don’t have to worry either, the smaller version of the Accelero, the S2, was made just for them. It also comes with a memory cooling rib and is recommended for the following cards:

  • Radeon X1650 series
  • Radeon X1600 series
  • Radeon X1550 series
  • Radeon X1300 series
  • Radeon X1050 series
  • Radeon X850 series
  • Radeon X800 series
  • Radeon X700 series
  • Radeon X600 series
  • Radeon X550 series
  • Radeon X300 series
  • Radeon 9000 series
  • GeForce 7600 series
  • GeForce 7300 series
  • GeForce 6600 series
  • GeForce FX 5950 series
  • GeForce FX 5900 series
  • GeForce FX 5700 series
  • GeForce FX 5600 series
  • GeForce 5500 series
  • GeForce 5200 series
  • GeForce 4 Ti and MX series

The Accelero S2 will also be available for purchase from the end of May, at a net price of 18 euros, ie around 6-7000 forints.
