Up to about fifty percent performance improvement is expected compared to reference cards.

CHAINTECH singled out the low-end 8500 GT for its latest experiment. The formula was simple: squeeze the highest possible clocks from the G86 card. The manufacturer, of course, closed the design with a positive result, plus there was even some spare left in the GAE85GT card, as evidenced by the test below. But let’s not run so far ahead, let’s see the factory details!

The clock speeds of the new APOGEE card have increased terribly compared to the reference values, the core is operating at 594 MHz, while the 256 megabytes of GDDR3 memory is operating at 1540 MHz. Just a reminder, NVIDIA recommends 400/800 values. The manufacturer promises an improvement of at least 35 percent with these clocks, needless to say, the card abundantly meets this value.
