Three-year warranty on all Maxtor HDDs

Seagate has extended the warranty on Maxtor hard drives.

Until now, it only applied to "bare" Maxtor HDDs, which can be purchased without any surrounds, but from now on, Seagate has extended the three-year warranty to all boxed versions purchased on or after October 2006, 1.

As we know, the so-called OEM versions already have a 3-year warranty, while the more expensive boxed Maxtor products only have a 1-year warranty. We have also become accustomed to the fact that the computer shops in Hungary do not always follow the warranty conditions prescribed by the manufacturer, and this is unfortunately not the case with hard disks.

Three-year warranty on all Maxtor HDDs

Maxtor boxed HDDs (Retail Kit) come with screws, installation instructions and, depending on the model, a SATA or PATA cable. The 80GB model is $ 79,95, while the top-of-the-line 500GB hard drive is priced at $ 239,95.
