Google has purchased YouTube

A marriage between Google and YouTube has taken place.

Earlier rumors proved true: Google bought YouTube for about $ 1,6 billion. This puts Google at the forefront of the online video sharing market, which failed to make its own similar service, Google Video, still in beta.
