GIGABYTE: the case of G33 and CrossFire

Officially, Bearlake-G version 33 does not support multi-card systems. But what about the reality?

The OCWorkbenches guys thought one thing, took out the GIGABYTE GA-G33M DS2R board, and not one but two AMD HD 2600 XTs were pressed into it. How is this possible when there is only one piece of PCI Express X16 bus on the page? So that it also has an open-ended X4 PCI Express on it, and the second VGA card has been pasted into it.

Then look for a miracle: in 3DMark06, the CrossFire system scored 25% more points. How much of this benefits this from the point of view of an average user should not be explored now, it is definitely interesting and noteworthy that the ATI CrossFire was functional on a G33-based board.
