GeForce 310 for 12 HUF from HP?
And yes! The first member of the GeForce 300 series has appeared in HP’s online store for £ 40.
According to current sources, next-generation desktop GPUs based on the NVIDIA Fermi architecture will appear under the family name GeForce 300. We were very upset when we heard that a 300-series card called GeForce 310 had already appeared on HP's website, at a ridiculous purchase price of 40 pounds, which translates into about 12 Hungarian forints. We guessed something was wrong here…
Our suspicions have been further heightened by the image of the card, as the GeForce 310 is built on a low-profile, ie half-high PCB, and its outputs are DisplayPort and DVI, in fact it is eerily similar to the GeForce GT 1 released about 210 month ago.
Paradoxically, ATI-AMD sympathizers are likely to enjoy this card the most, as you can laugh and scatter the flame again. The big secret: The GeForce 310 is NVIDIA's latest renaming campaign, it looks like it hasn't recovered yet.
The card was officially released on the greens side, and in construction and specification it is exactly the same as the GeForce GT 210, the only difference being that this model is intended exclusively for the OEM market by the manufacturer.
