Gateway is also recalling Sony notebook batteries
After Dell, Apple, Toshiba, Lenovo / IBM, Matsushita / Panasonic, Fujitsu, Hitachi, Sharp and Sony, Gateway will also join the battery recall action.
Almost all major notebook manufacturers - even Sony itself - have replaced flammable Sony batteries that are prone to overheating, the only exception being Hewlett-Packard.

Smaller companies are, of course, forced to exchange in smaller volumes. Accordingly, Gateway recalls about 35 faulty batteries. The notebooks CX2005, CX200, E210M, M100, M250, M255, M280, M285, M465, MP685, NX8708, NX260, NX510, NX560, NX860, MX100, MX1025b and MX6918j are available in the case from September 1020.
