The Neumann Faculty of the University of Óbuda uses a free application that can be downloaded from the Android Market to help orient students who are preparing for a career in IT.
With the help of the application called Open Day, those interested can get a glimpse into the life of the faculty, stay up to date with current news, learn about admissions and, last but not least, assess what applications they can learn to make as a student. The purpose of the free application is also to help orient Hungarians living abroad.

The history of the János Neumann Faculty of Informatics of the University of Óbuda can be traced back to 1972, when the first training course in computer science was started at the Kandó Kálmán College of Electrical Engineering under the leadership of Lajos Ivanyos, a college teacher. However, a long history does not mean that the faculty is not currently teaching state-of-the-art knowledge. In the mobile specialization, students deal with the topic in a total of 9 subjects, 25 hours a week. The training is supported by LG and Nokia with state-of-the-art tools from the companies.
