In February, there were 2,098 million fixed broadband Internet subscriptions in Hungary

In the month under review, the number of subscribers to the xDSL broadband Internet service on the traditional telephone line was 799 thousand. The subscriptions of the largest cable operators included in the quick report increased to 826 thousand in February.

At the end of the month, there were 276 thousand subscriptions for FTTx, ie the service provided to the fiber (to the building, apartment, office). Overall, in February 2012, the estimated number of fixed broadband Internet subscriptions from data providers for the total market was 2,098 million.

In the case of broadband Internet access, Magyar Telekom is the market leader in terms of the total (estimated) market, taking into account all fixed line technologies, with a market share of 34,8 per cent, UPC second, market share 20,7 per cent, and third in line. Digi with a 12,8 percent stake. This is followed by the combined share of hundreds of smaller service providers, which is 12,4 percent, followed by Invitel with 10 percent.

Within the total number of voice channels - based on the received data - the number of traditional fixed telephone lines in the month was 2,062 million (2,076 million in the previous month), the number of voice channels operating on the cable television network was 486 thousand (481 thousand in the previous month), based voice channels increased to 372 thousand from 366 thousand in the previous month. The estimated value of voice channels for the entire market was 2,979 million at the end of February 2012.

In the case of fixed voice services, based on the total (estimated) market, Magyar Telekom has the largest market share, which is 61,5 percent. In second place is Invitel with 13,5 per cent, followed by UPC with 10,6 per cent and Digi with 8,2 per cent.

In February, the number of fixed voice channels per 29,31 inhabitants was 60,78, and the number of fixed telephone households in households was 368 percent. Subscribers made 114 million minutes on a traditional telephone line and 165 million minutes on an IP basis. In the study month, the average duration of calls made to one trunk was XNUMX minutes.
