This is no joke: a 28-core Intel processor is coming

Or a demonstration of strength in Intel mode.

The nimbus of the larger processor manufacturer has been pretty battered in recent months, so it doesn’t hurt to shoot some gunpowder now. The new magic word has become Skylake XCC (extreme core count), which practically covers the extreme core count. In the present case, this means 28 cores and 56 logical threads, which are capable of unearthly power despite the relatively modest default clock (2,70 GHz). It's also not uncommon to see a six-channel memory controller built into the processor, but it's not at all that a CPU boasts at 5,0 GHz with so many processing units. Well, here both can be given now, because Intel recorded the pace at such a clock with an “easy gesture” and then loosely sent the current version of Cinebench.

I guess we’re not going to be surprised by the fact that the 28-core Skylake XCC produced an almost inconceivable result: 7 points were achieved along with overspeeding. How much will this monster cost? According to folk legends, the price does not stop below $ 334, which means nearly 10 million forints.
