One of the best rugged phone series in the world is the Armor family, and the weekly version will be a true top phone.

An Armor 6 and an Armor 6e also rest on my shelf, I love them, but compared to what the Armor 7 will offer on these small track mobiles. A new central unit arrives and we get plenty of cameras, at least compared to talking about a rugged phone. True, this is not surprising, because the pinnacle of the Armor series has been a mobile for years that combines state-of-the-art technology with shock, water, dust, acid and heat resistance even for military use.

Armor 7 gets MediaTek’s latest and bitang-strong Helio P90 chipset, which shouldn’t be confused with Xiaomi’s choice of Helio G8T for the Redmi Note 90 Pro because the latter is more powerful. However, the P90 doesn't have to be ashamed of its processor running at up to 2,2 GHz or the IMG PowerVR GM 9446 graphics accelerator. The chip, of course, supports FHD + displays, manufacturers can add up to 48 megapixel cameras, and the LTE modem makes 4G internet access available around the world. However, a bigger bang could be Googe Lens support and the presence of a new, second-generation, dedicated AI, or artificial intelligence processor, which brings a new face analysis system to display resolution and is capable of real-time face enhancement during video recording, for example.

So in terms of hardware, the Armor 7 won’t be bad, especially since we now get three rear-facing cameras for photography. These will be a 48 megapixel main camera, a 16 megapixel night camera and an 8 megapixel telephoto lens. Of course, the system will also receive artificial intelligence support, so there will be face beautification and scene recognition as well. A 16-megapixel unit on the front panel is responsible for self-timing and face-based unlocking of the display.
