Energy-saving single-core from AMD
The LE-1600 is connected to the Athlon LE-1620, LE-1640 and LE-1660 CPUs.
The pinnacle of energy-efficient single-core CPUs is the Athlon LE-1660: the processor based on the K8 microarchitecture has a TDP of just 45 W, a clock speed of 2,8 GHz, and a second-level cache size of 1 MB. The 65nm CPU, of course, can be housed in a Socket AM2 socket, and can be ordered for $ 1000 for a high-volume batch of at least 53, and the current price of the 2,6GHz Athlon LE-1640.
