For a first “blink,” Google’s idea might be good
Google programmers reported in their blog post that they had outgrown the WebKit engine. So there is no other solution than creating your own browser engine. This became Blink, a WebKit-based browser engine.
Work has already begun, deleting 4,5 million lines of code and more than 7000 files in the first round. The goal is to simplify the engine, increase its stability and performance. Chromium and Chrome will be built on this in the future, and it has even been revealed that Opera will choose this open source solution.
