The little Titan, the Geforce GTX 780, has started

Anyone who instantly slams into a $ 1000 NVIDIA GeForce GTX Titan graphics card can now catch a bit of a headache, as the GTX 780 offers similar performance, but at a significantly lower cost. The rookie was not particularly surprised, as his technical indicators had leaked much earlier. NVIDIA engineers also used the GK110 GPU in the flagship of the new series, but deactivated two streaming multiprocessor arrays compared to the Titan, allowing the chip to manage 2306 CUDA cores. However, the tempo of the 384-bit memory bus and GDDR5 on-board memories is unchanged, making it still 6,0 GHz. After that, we’re not surprised at the 250-watt TDP and the sight of PCI Express power connectors. In terms of outputs, we are also greeted by the usual picture: dual-link DVI, an HDMI 1.4 and a DisplayPort.

If we didn’t see the Geforce GTX 780 label on the cooling system, we might even think we’re facing Titan. The design otherwise performs surprisingly well, which is primarily evident in noise emissions rather than low GPU temperatures. 

The suggested retail price of the product is $ 650. The GeForce GTX 780 is just a hair slower than the most powerful GPU implementation to date, the GTX Titan.
