NVIDIA today officially launched its GeForce GTX 560 video card, which should not be confused with its Ti-labeled sibling, as it features a dumb but 40nm GF114 graphics processor that has been reduced by 48 the number of CUDA cores by disabling a shader block, leaving 336 of them available. The GPU clock is ticking at 810 MHz, so the shader frequency represents 1.620 MHz. The 1 GB of GDDR5 on-board memory received a 256-bit wide data bus and an effective clock speed of 4.004 MHz. The above resulted in a memory bandwidth of 128 GB / s. The maximum power consumption of the product is 150 watts, so two six-pin PCI-E power cables are required for trouble-free operation. With this product, the company wants to close the gap between GeForce GTX 560 Ti and GeForce GTX 550 Ti.

In terms of services, it is the same as the GeForce GTX 500 series, ie the following technologies are present: DirectX 11, OpenGL 4.1, 3D Vision, CUDA, PhysX, SLI. A dual-slot solution is responsible for cooling the card, with two Dual-Link DVIs and a 1.4 Mini-HDMI on the back. Thanks to the latter, the display of 3D content is not an obstacle either. The GeForce GTX 560 has a suggested retail price of around US $ 200.
