The Windows Vista Logo program has started
True, the final commercial version of Windows Vista will not be released this year, and Microsoft wants to persuade all users to upgrade to Vista in addition to purchasing Vista.
The software giant has announced a plethora of computers, software, hardware and games for the Christmas season that will run on Microsoft’s latest home operating system. More than 250 hardware and software have been awarded the Certified for Windows Vista or Works with Windows Vista logo, making it easier for customers to navigate between products on which new operating system will run smoothly.
Rumor has it that Microsoft will offer some kind of development program to these PC users during the holiday season. In practice, this means that it will be cheaper to buy an operating system for a computer with such logos, and if someone already has Windows XP, it will be much less expensive to upgrade to Windows Vista.
In addition, Microsoft claims that games bearing the Games for Windows logo will run with complete success on x64-based versions of Windows Vista. During the Christmas season, games with this logo will include Company of Heroes, LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy, and Microsoft Flight Simulator X.
