Firefox 7 removes the "http://" prefix from the URL bar

The new version of the latest version of the browser already shows the novelty.

In Mozilla Firefox 7, the "http://" prefix will no longer be visible in the URL bar. The rather controversial solution came to light more than 1 year ago with the release of Chrome 5. Some elements of the URL are planned to appear in a lighter color to improve readability. Of course, the "https://" prefix appears unchanged, since without it, users would have difficulty identifying secure web pages. 

Mozilla developers have acknowledged that Opera and Chrome web browsers have been pioneers in this field.
