LG Electronics (LG) achieves significant results at this year's EISA (European Imaging and Sound Association) awards: 55EA9800 CURVED OLED TV wins "European Design TV" award for "Europe's Best Design TV 2013-2014" .

LG’s revolutionary curved OLED TV with curved IMAX-like screen is an eye-catching engineering masterpiece. The stunningly slim curved OLED TV, at just 4mm, is a tangible result of LG’s efforts to spread OLED technology to commercially available large displays.

Thanks to the ergonomic curve of the television developed by LG, we can have a visual experience that we have only experienced in special projection rooms so far. The special appearance of the sleek, ultra-thin television is largely due to OLED technology. LG WRGB OLED imaging creates exceptionally lifelike colors and excellent contrast with image quality beyond imagination. The narrow 55 ″ (~ 140 cm) diameter screen is supported by a carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) back cover, which is responsible for the light weight of the device in addition to protection.
