So far, Windows 8 is not cracking very well
Market researcher NetApplications has collected more interesting statistics about pre-release versions of Windows 8.
According to the data, 10 of the 20 computers already run Microsoft's latest operating system, but what is even more interesting is how Windows 8 performs against Windows 7 over the same period. Well, the aforementioned result was achieved by Windows 7 of the week in less than a week in 2 months, while version 16 took XNUMX weeks to do so.
If we set the NetApplications timelines to the same months, we will be greeted by the image below. When comparing the previews, it should be left that Windows 8 Consumer Preview (beta) arrived in late February, as opposed to Windows 7 beta in early January.
It is not worth drawing far-reaching conclusions, but it is clearly visible that for the time being there is no great interest in the latest "miracle from Redmond" - perhaps the "scandal" surrounding the deletion of the Start menu, perhaps the imposition of tiles, but in the past months few people's imaginations have been moved by the Windows 8. It is also certain that after Windows Vista, many saw Windows 7 as a messiah, which, all in all, lived up to the expectations attached to it. Windows 8 has a much tougher opponent in this regard.
