Rough data was provided by Facebook

Facebook is currently the largest social site, but the official figures are still staggering! Users and automated systems bombard the server park with 70 queries a day.Rough data posted on Facebook 1
Roughly 1 billion visitors share 2,5 billion links a day and like 2,7 billion times. The servers are very seriously sweated by the 300 million image uploads per day, as this maneuver consumes about 500 Terabytes of storage. It is also quite shocking that, based on the official presentation, a fleeting set of 30 terabytes of data is scanned every 105 minutes.

Facebook stores the information collected in a Hadoop cluster. An HDFS system stores more than 100 petabytes of data, so there is no serious concern.
