DDR2-DDR converter from Gigabyte

In addition to its usual motherboards and video cards, Gigabyte is now trying to win the favor of customers with more and more interesting little things. They are now experimenting with a DDR2-DDR converter.

With the help of a small circuit unit called the GC-DDR21, the problem of switching between memory types is permanently eliminated. Although the price of DDR2 SDRAMs today is slightly higher and, in fact, often lower for higher capacity modules than their traditional DDR counterparts, this does not mean that the new development of Gigabyte is unnecessary. Moreover, as today’s systems have shown that, on average use, the new DDR2 is not, or only minimally, faster than its predecessor, the question rightly arises as to why we need to replace branded modules purchased at the expense of poison. Thanks to HKEPC, we not only got pictures of the GC-DDR21, but it was also tested right away:

The numbers speak for themselves, the differences between the individual configurations are quite minimal, which definitely means the success of the Gigabyte converter. Unfortunately, we do not yet have exact information about the exact release time, price and availability.
