Chat is in the mood for one of the new viruses

PandaLabs staff has drawn attention to an interesting Trojan that kindly tells the user in English that they are deleting all the files from their computer.

Nowadays, virus writers no longer specifically seek to damage files or data stored on computers, but rather try to obtain confidential information, send spam, and engage in other malicious activities for financial gain. However, a Trojan called BotVoice.A, intercepted by PandaLabs experts, somewhat contradicts this approach, as the malware's sole purpose is to delete as many files as possible from infected computers.

In the case of BotVoice.A, the virus writers also lacked solutions to help hide it, and even made a special effort to draw attention to their pest. This is because the Trojan uses Windows's text-to-speech feature to repeat a piece of text while constantly deleting files from directory to directory. The malware repeats the following message until you find files that can be deleted:

“You have been infected; I repeat you have been infected and your system files have been deleted. Sorry. Have a nice day and bye bye, ”

That is, the trojan tells the user that his computer is infected and his (system) files have been deleted. After that, the program politely apologizes, wishes you a nice day, and then says goodbye.

Luis Corrons, a technical director at PandaLabs, said BotVoice.A is a special Trojan. Not only is it busy deleting your files, but you’re doing everything you can to keep your malicious activity from being interrupted. According to the expert, the Trojan can spread mainly on flash drives, floppy disks, CDs, but it can also be placed on computers from malicious websites or other viruses.
