The Opera has made serious announcements

Almost exactly one year after last year’s traditional press conference debut, Opera Day, the second such gathering was a success yesterday.

Android owners can enjoy the latest version of Mobile Opera (Opera Mini 6.5 and Opera Mobile 11.5), though these don’t bring too many innovations. Primarily, the Presto engine was updated to 2.9.201, which is almost the same as the latest PC preview, but an important element, an HTML5 processor called Ragnarök, was left out. The new versions have also received some UI changes: a star in the title bar has been added to quickly bookmark pages.

where you can see how much data traffic the Turbo function has saved.

Increased interest followed news about Opera's desktop browser. As previously expected, the company announced that version 12 will include hardware acceleration, combined with WebGL support. There will be no complaints about the performance either. During Microsoft's "psychedelic browsing" test, Opera 11.51 achieved 864 "points", compared to 1950 for the hardware-accelerated version.

According to a journalist present on The Register, the newcomer has been rewritten with a JavaScript engine, improved themability and even more features - the latter has not been reported. In addition, they remembered the new reading mode, which may be most familiar from Safari. This is good so that by pushing the content of the website into the background, we can focus only and exclusively on the article we are reading. The developers are likely to launch the first public version during Thursday. The final release is expected later this year.
