Netgear has expanded its offering with a high-end router

In addition to the beauty of the RangeMax Dual Band Wireless-N, you can also conquer with its knowledge base.

The novelty is recommended by the manufacturer primarily for home use, however, due to its advanced capabilities, the device also stands out as an element of smaller corporate networks. The range of supported technologies is extensive, as in addition to traditional services, the WNDR3700 model is able to share an external hard disk over a network and make it available via the DLNA standard, among other things; through the latter, the content of the data storage device connected via the USB port can be accessed not only with a computer, but also with the help of our suitable consumer electronic devices. There will be no problem with hard drive access speeds, as Netgear engineers have also built a 680Mhz processor into the device, which guarantees more than enough performance.

The dual-band design is responsible for the quality and speed of wireless communication: in addition to the usual 2,4 GHz frequency, the device is capable of distribution at 5 GHz, even at the same time. The solution claims that the manufacturer claims a maximum data rate of 350 Mbps, although this requires network endpoints to support ominous technology. Our data protection can be ensured, among other things, by WPA2 Enterprise protection, the application of which seems to be the most secure choice possible at the moment.

In addition to the above, it should be highlighted that Netgear's engineers equipped the new shape with advanced energy management functions, so among other things, it includes a technology that monitors the length of the cables used during the wired connection and then optimizes the amount of energy used based on this, as in " The power of the N" standard Wi-Fi radio can also be regulated, namely in 3 levels. Thanks to the latter, energy savings of up to 75% can be achieved, which can be considered significant in the light of competing solutions.

The same can be said for the purchase price of a device with a gigabit network controller, which is almost at a horror level: according to Netgear's recommendation, the price tag of the novelty will be $ 189.99 (approximately HUF 36), but we would not be surprised if domestic stores still the product would appear at an even more expensive purchase price.
