Core i7-980X: Break all 3DMark Vantage world records!

Andre Yang's system: Core i7-980X @ 5900 MHz (hexa-core), four HD 5870 = Quad CrossFireX. Do I have to say something else?

Intel's first six-core desktop processor, known as the Core i7-980X, will go on sale to the general public in March or April, but as usual, there are lucky guys who are close to the fire and have been officially released for months. they can obtain an ES, ie an engineering copy, before. Also in such shoes is Andre Yang, who adores his passion for tuning, who, after grabbing the processor, naturally interrogated his system with a six-core CPU. The Core i7-980X couldn’t stop up to 5,9 GHz, and the 3D counting was done quite modestly by four Radeon HD 5870s forming a Quad CrossFireX system. Knowing these features, I guess no one is surprised that this configuration broke virtually every known 3DMark Vantage record and showed a new level of speed.

Since the processor has not yet been officially announced, the result was canceled by FutureMark shortly after registration, which of course does not deduct anything from the merits of the processor, VGAs and Andre. Of course, the use of liquid nitrogen was the basis for this clock, but we can rightly hope that six-core processors won’t be just badly tunable pieces either, based on the high average.
