Computex 2008: Tegra sends NVIDIA into battle against Intel Atom

NVIDIA and Tegra want to break into the market for so-called Mobile Internet Device and Microsoft Windows Mobile-based devices.

Unveiled at Computex, the Tegra series has three members: the Tegra 650 and Tegra 600 are used for so-called Mobile Internet Device devices, and the Tegra APX 2500 is used for smartphones running Microsoft Windows Mobile. The first Tegra-based devices could hit store shelves before the end of the year, with devices expected to cost between $ 200 and $ 300.
