Chieftec feeds from the middle class

Unfortunately, we do not have a measuring bench, so we chose the simplest possible method for testing. The 500-watt specimen was tied to our test configuration and viewed for voltage changes. A traditional pointer multimeter was used for the operation, as digital display devices are unable to track rapid change.

As we had hoped, we did not find a deviation of more than 1-2 percent from the factory values during the test, which is definitely a good sign, though, tuning was omitted in this test.

Evaluation

A power supply is several years old, and as long as we use it to fit it well, we shouldn’t send our hardware to the crematorium. Unfortunately, we do not have years to give an opinion on a unit, we have to be content with the few hours that are given.

Chieftek’s mid-range solutions have performed well in just a few hours. On the previous pages, you can read essentially all the relevant information about them, from the cables to the internal mapping. Based on these, we can say with a calm heart that we get what we expect for our money.

Chieftec foods from the middle category 1

Cost reduction is paramount with these power supplies, so it's no surprise that not all cable harnesses are stocked, nor is it that we can't find enough connectors for four PCI-Express VGAs. These power supplies are made for the mid-range, but in a way that we don’t have to lack the capabilities we expect today.

Who do we recommend the foods to? For those who want to build a reliable office machine, and for those who want to build a strong but not a power plant-capable config at home. These two circles, in our opinion, account for at least 80 percent of computer users, so we can say that for this good large circle, Chieftek’s product can be a suitable basis for powering a reliable machine.

What kind of house do we recommend these foods for? The answer to this question is given by the length of the cable whips. As the whips are fixed in very small cottages, it can be a problem to hide unused branches, so the area of use is limited to midi and mini towers. Of course, we don't get up to this either, as the vast majority of the houses fall into this category, the extra high houses already have so much hardware and background that they can use a stronger power supply next to them.
