Yeston makes a brutally sized refrigerator

Yeston’s three-slot cooling system features two 12cm cooling fans, making it easy to cool even an HD 7970-level graphics controller.

When designing the 18-blade fans, the engineers were probably inspired by turbofan engines. The huge cooling system covers almost the entire PCB. The image below shows that copper heat pipes are not in direct contact with the GPU, but the two densely lamellar aluminum fins and 12cm fans will not disappoint either. The PWM-controlled fan on the left is designed to cool the graphics processor and its surroundings at a constant speed on the right. Unfortunately, exact data on the noise level is not yet available - considering the VGA-cooling monster, we don’t expect a soundtrack. Yeston said the cooling system, designed for HD 7900 series graphics cards, is not yet complete, but will be ready for use soon. Hopefully the final design will be a bit slimmer.
