Stores new Athlon processors

The list of AMD dual-core products has been expanded with two new members.

Before the arrival of K10, AMD is doing everything to squeeze even the last drops out of the K8 architecture. The currently running, 65 nm Brisbane core was reworked a bit, as a result of which the TDP value was reduced to 45 W. The new processors differ from their "old" Athlon 64 X2 counterparts only in this one value, all other data remained unchanged. Unfortunately, people get confused again with the new name, 2300 and 2350, of course, do not indicate the time signal. The BE-2300 is effectively a 1,9GHz Athlon 64 X2 3600+ with a lower TDP, while the BE-2350 is equivalent to a 2,1GHz A64 X2 4000+.

If you might already want to buy from the new dual-core proc, be sure to check the CPU support list on your motherboard beforehand. You may need a BIOS update to use the new BE procik.
