Unfortunately, not for everyone.

Microsoft intends to respond to the threats posed by extortion viruses as part of a major update. The essence of the so-called “File Restore” service is that we can restore our files stored in the repository for 30 days in the event of a hit. If Microsoft detects an attack on our data, we will notify you immediately by email, and with this feature we can easily restore the previous state. The only beauty of the thing is that “File Restore” is not available to users using a free account.

Another enhancement to OneDrive is password-protected file and folder sharing: if the customer wants to access those files, they can only do so with that password. Microsoft has also announced that in the future, links in Word, PowerPoint and Excel files will be checked as soon as the user opens them.

Outlook.com also includes a new feature: end-to-end encryption. If the user is sending mail to a non-Microsoft address, it is possible to read the message on a secure Office 365 Web page. It can also be useful to disable mail forwarding and copying, which also applies to attachments.
