Introducing the Synology DiskStation DS1517 5-drawer NAS server
Synology has introduced its latest 5-account NAS server, the DiskStation DS1517.
Designed for small to medium-sized business users, this 5-drawer NAS server is powered by Annapurna Labs Alpine AL-314 quad-core 1,7 GHz processor. In addition to the proci, we also find 2GB of DDR3 RAM. the drawers can be fitted with 2,5- and 3,5-inch SATA hard drives as usual from the manufacturer. The Synology DiskStation DS1517 has two USB 3.0 ports, two eSATA ports and four RJ-45 1GbE LAN ports. Half of two 80 mm fans for cooling.
The NAS runs DiskStation Manager (DSM) 6.1. The DiskStation DS1517 supports multiple RAID volumes, including Synology Hybrid RAID, Basic, JBOD, and RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10 volumes. We have not yet received information about the price of the new NAS.
