Introducing: Items tuners - picture in picture

It is time to draw the final conclusions and evaluate the tools!

The first and most important question is who we can recommend customers to. Well, first of all, of course, for those who have a mobile or desktop computer, which, in the case of a desktop computer, does not have a built-in tuner on the display, or would like to record the broadcast on a desktop computer.

Today's USB devices and most of the internal expansion cards are so-called "software" solutions. This means that most of the resources required for operation are provided by the central processor, so in the case of a weak, old machine, the smooth operation does not take place even if no other program is running on our machine. Before buying, ask for a professional opinion, when buying a mobile machine and a USB receiver, take your machine with you to the store and ask the seller to test if it works properly!

You may have read on the front page that receiving a digital broadcast is unfortunately not obvious at all. In larger cities, especially places where topographic conditions do not cause white spots, it is likely that there will be no problem viewing the broadcast.

When purchasing a desktop or computer digital receiver, inquire about purchase options at your location. It is also worth asking the neighbors for their opinions, but keep in mind that the quality of reception may vary from street to street!

Where the signal level is good, where the transmission is uninterrupted, we will have no problem with the picture quality. With digital television, you no longer have to worry about the ant image, because if the signal is weak, the picture quality will not deteriorate, but there will simply be no transmission.

We have described that both receivers also have an analog tuner. We can tie all kinds of wires to this to extract the signal from the analog broadcast, but unless we’re very lucky, we won’t get satisfactory broadcast quality. The possibility of analog reception is thus recommended for those who receive broadcasts from some kind of cable source. For them, of course, only if the service provider has not yet switched to digital streaming, the receivers are suitable for quality television on the computer screen.

Maybe we’re not revealing a big secret that really good quality requires HD broadcasting, as the resolution of SD broadcasts doesn’t cover the resolution of today’s flat screens, so the picture quality can’t be perfect either.

All in all, we recommend the purchase of tuners for those whose machine or display does not include a receiver unit, but the hardware of the machine is strong enough to operate them. For those who have access to either digital terrestrial or some cable television service in their place of residence, or who travel with their mobile device to places where broadcasts via digital broadcasting are available.

In our opinion, Items customers do not lag behind the more well-known brands in Hungary in terms of quality or knowledge. The included remote control is simple but practical, and the software added to the hardware is an easy-to-use, easy-to-understand work that also speaks Hungarian. Browsing the retail prices, Item ITV 320 can be around HUF 11 gross, while Items ITV 000 can be around HUF 723.

Because of these capabilities, and our practical experience with customers, we rated both Items units as recommended for purchase.
